So lets get to the point: a good 1/3 of our flat flooded with toilet water.
Yep. We woke up sunday morning and the ceiling was dripping, the couch, floor, and curtains were soaked. Courtney's suitcase is ruined, Kalie's painting for her parents from Madrid is ruined. Nothing of mine was in the way thankfully. Management sucks. They said they'd give us towels..to take care of the entire problem, and that they'd paint the ceiling to make the leaking stop. It's ridiculous. CAPA finally realized things were completely out of hand and got a professional to come and clean. The cleaner told Kalie that she needed to know the truth..that it's not just water, but toilet water, and that the floor has probably never been cleaned before. Which is all completely gross. We stayed in a hotel last night and got free breakfast this morning. We're in another hotel for two more nights and then we move into a new flat on tuesday. It just stinks becuase we have to completely pack everything up, unpack, and then repack in 7 weeks. But it's do-able to get out of this place. Plus i had to miss work today, and i'll have to miss a bit on thursday in order to get stuff out of the hotel by 11am and into the new flat. i hate missing work; this is the first time and it's really weird.<--total slacker kind of feeling.
The party at Sartoria monday night was AMAZING. i've never seen anything like it. it was sooo much fun. and the champagne was good as always, i think i enjoyed that a little tooo much ;-) . I'll put pics up soon. my camera adapter is in my other suitcase thats at kevin's place so we didn't have to move everything a million times.
I'm excited to be in London again for another weekend. hopefully this one will end a lot better than the last. It's only tuesday, and it feels like it's been about a month since the last weekend, a good weekend at that. There's not anything else going on, just completely drained from the whole pee water situation.
Talk to you soooon
xoxo Stephani
ok, sorry..between being sooo busy all the time and internet not working most of the time, i just haven't had time to update. So, here we go...
ROME=AMAZING! i need to go back and spend more time there, and throughout all of italy. 2 days is simply not enough. we walked everywhere. i had the most amazing pasta dish...i'm pretty sure i actually ate it all! the driving is crazy...there's no lines on any of the roads, probly the scariest thing since i've been here.
MADRID=not so amazing... i wasn't impressed w/ madrid at all. i think i had too high of expectations after being in rome the week before. it was more 'city' than i was expecting and the language barrier was really tough. i don't get frustrated about stuff like that, but this time it was really hard. The guys didn't go either, and it was just the girls, so that ws kinda weird. There was also a bit of drama, so that didn't help anything either. i'd never been happier to be back in london. stayed in bed most of the day when i got back. it was wonderful.
This weekend we're staying in london, and i'm really really pumped for that. i really miss london. even though i've been here throughout the week, i don't actually see anything b/c when i get out of work its dark and just not the same. so this weekend, i've got a big list of things to do. plus kevin's birthday is saturday, so i'm sure that'll be a really good time.
Valentine's day was reallly good too. Kevin and i went out to dinner and then walked along the embankment. it was reallly pretty. I got roses too =) .
I hope everything is well back home, i hear there's a bit of snow..haha. it snowed an inch one day here and everyone freaked out. the tubes were terrible. i got stuck for an hour and a half, packed like a sardine in that little stinky car. it was grose!
There's a big party for work monday night at one of the restaurants. it's a venician carnival, w/ venice maskes and everything. i'm really excited. A few weeks ago i went to a champagne tasting. it was a three course meal w/ a glass of champagne to compliment the course. it was soooo good. i can't even explain it. and then the day after that, i went to a meet and greet w/ some clients and we learn how to roll cigars - cuban cigars...they're totally legal here. Except they do have this law that's going into place where there's no public smoking, so that'll be interesting.
Anywho, i've got to go find some dinner and get ready to go to the pub.
Talk to you soon
Cheers!
Madrid was OK, not the best trip ever, and definately not rome. Check out the pics, will write more later, have to go to work for now!

check out the new pics and videos.
i'll name them all later, gotta jet..MADRID tomorrow!! =)
been crazy busy with pretty much no internet.
We're going to rome this weekend tho, so i'll have plenty of updates when i get back! We fly out super early friday and get back sunday morning.
hope all is well!
XXOO
internet has been totally down lately.
i'm alive tho, no worries
xxoo Stephani*
ok, so here's the deal...the internet here really doesn't work alot of the time, so that's why there hasn't been any updates or emails lately. That and work is really taking up alot of time...the whole two days i've had, ya know.
But work is really good. I really like it and the people i work with. Everyone is really nice and welcoming. Thursday night was the corporate office christmas party. (that's where i work, at corporate). they always have the christmas parties after christmas since restaurants are always booked to the max for the holiday season. It was alot of fun..it was at a local bar/restaurant/club thing down the road from the office. there was free food and drinks and all that good stuff. there was a raffle too, but i didn't win anything, of course.
Friday we took a trip w/ all of CAPA to Stonehenge and Bath. They were both really really cool. I mean, you can only look at stonehenge for so long, since it is just rocks in the the middle of the countryside, but it was still a good experience. Bath was absolutely amazing. It was basically the picturesque european town, with beautiful archietecture, cobblestone streets, and all that jazz. we walked around, did a little shopping since this weekend is the last weekend for sales. I got a cute purse for only P7. it's super cute. I also had a latte for the first time since i've been here...or any coffe products at all. there's no coffee maker in our flatt, and at work there's a coffee press, and i mean, what kind of american knows how to use a coffee press. seriously, come on now. But it was REALLY REALLY goood. We left london at 8am and got back around 8pm. the bus driver was absolutely terrible, but other than that, it was a wonderful day.
Yesterday, Saturday, me, lauren, kalie, and kevin got up and went to the Natural History Museum. I'm not really a museum person at all, so i got bored after about 30 minutes or so. but the building itself was soooo beautiful. i liked looking at that more than the actual stuff in the museum. Then we walked up to kensington gardens and the palace. we didn't stay very long b/c it started to rain a little, but just long enough to meet up w/ courtney. From there we walk to Knightsbridge, which is where Harrod's and all of the other SUPER expensive places are, like Armani and Burberry. Harrod's is the most overwhelming place i've ever been in. and everything costs your soul twice over. it's ridiculous. i could only stand being in there for about 20 minutes. from there, i split off from the group b/c they were going home and i wanted to look for a few things. i got a super cute outfit that i wore out to the club last night. and it was alll on sale...super good deals! it's the black outfit w/ the red shoes in the pics. At night, we went out to Covent Garden. It was super cool and the club we went to was amazing with another good cover band. it was an all girl band too and it was soooo good. caught the last tube home around midnight and hung out for a while.
I don't know what's going on today...so far we're all basically still in bed. but we did manage to get up and walk to McD's for some quality breakfast. i just got a latte..it was totally calling my name, and i've been craving one ever since the first one i had in Bath, and it was soooo good, again.
There's new pictures up and a couple new videos from Bath and Stonehenge i think.
Miss you all and talk to you sooon!

Hello Hello....
Today we took a THREE HOUR bus tour through the city. the pics are up w/ explainations for most of them. New Videos are up too, but make sure you have a high internet connection and wait until it gets toally loaded (the bar becomes totally gray) before you play them, otherwise they'll skip. <at least on my computer.
I have my interview on Monday, but that doesn't necessarily mean that i start work on monday, idk why that is. but i'm working for Conran Restaurants in the events dept. www.conran.com/events is the address for more info. all of my roomates are working in different places but most of us are close to eachother so we can take the Tube (subway) together in the morning.
There's sooo many different people here, that's it's sometimes odd to run into a person that is actually british. i've met a couple french people an been able to kinda use my french. but it's really bad and shows that i actually don't remember hardly anything from highschool. But i've been told i have a good french accent for the bit i can still speak.
Tomorrow we're all going to to figure out where our work places actually are, so that'll be fun. I'm staying in tonight (right now) to rest up and try to get totally adjusted to the time thing so i can actually be alert at work on monday. Plus my feet are still killing me from last night and i'll need to wear heels on monday, so they need the rest.
That's it for now...
